Meja Shoba
A California native and daughter of a South African freedom fighter.
Meja Shoba is an award-winning Writer/Director and multidisciplinary atist with a visionary sense of feeling— aligning concept, inspiration, photography, video, and art into STORYTELLING.
For the past 15+ years, she’s traveled the world and collaborated with amazing artists, stylists, filmmakers, brands, and musicians to create work for brands like L’oreal Dark N’ Lovely, Ben Sherman, Falke, Proctor & Gamble, and Vaseline.
Meja’s films have premiered at Tribeca, Los Angeles Contemporary Museum, Seattle International, as well as other prestigious festivals.
She earned her MFA from UCLA’s Theatre, Film, and Television School. She has a BA in English and Japanese from Colgate University. She is also a Fulbright Scholar.
